2·1 month agoA possible downside to this is that only legit companies will adhere to it, whereas scammers won’t include the assertion, giving people a false sense of security.
Of course they won’t, which is why not identifying as AI is itself a new class of fraud and should be added to the other charges and punished as such.

5·2 months agoA core moment of my life was when, late at night, doing homework for assembly class, I finally GOT that “The instruction is the data is the number”. I would be surprised if students today have an opportunity to get to that realization.
We left Reddit behind. We can leave the poop knife behind. The waffle stomp? We can leave that behind too.

The current administration is causing huge amounts of damage and suffering by blindly removing and eliminating things without understanding why those things were created and maintained.

141·2 months agoI don’t want to “probably” be fine. I don’t want to roll a D20 when I eat chicken and I get salmonella if I roll a 1. And why is your chicken so clean anyway that you can get to “probably”? Because of a ton of laws and regulations mandating cleanliness in the processing plants.
Conservatives are measurably dying at slightly higher rates because they have stupid beliefs and believe lies about things like drinking raw milk.

That depends on whether or not there was an infinite amount of energy in the Big Bang. Lacking that, you can’t have infinite matter (i.e. infinite copies and possible configurations) even if you have infinite space to put it in.
