They always have mid apps, are the apps/infrastructure that hard to replicate by companies with this much funding? it always feels like some small team’s project straight out of college. They barely feel better than solo developed loops.

i want AAA to mean more gameplay options, more horizontal and vertical progression, tired of the graphics focus, lost comsetic progression, elden ring at least brought it back

My plan is to buy less games, if anyone enjoys sandbox games, physics, etc. I recommend just spending a month learning blender instead, then it becomes funner than most “creative” games available.

Just look at the things you enjoy, whether that be comics, games, etc. Make new hobbies, I have been less and less depressed as I aged because I keep finding new things to enjoy, now my sadness of death is mostly because I don’t think I can consume all the content/entertainment out there before i die, but it’s easy to hop on to the next distraction with that mentality. NGL gooning lowkey helps, remembering hot girls exist weirdly makes me believe in the idea of a god. Like idk about yall but no afterlife is what gets me depressed, and idk maybe a god does exist, logically theyd simulate us properly, evolving us to become more in their shape overtime, sometimes I just go off on tangents to distract myself from thinking about mortality, like now, i wonder if humans become godlike through some psychic shit if our brains keep evolving and the end goal is for their to be more godlike beings many many years from now. See not thinking about depressing shit, now i’ve confused my brain thoroughly.

to be fair, that is the whole point of the game, its competitive, i miss lightbikes on iphone, was a fun ripoff with new mechanics like 3d maps (multiple rotated planes lol), jumping, and boosting, added a lot to the game

like it’s possible yes, but ppl act like that means it is a great game engine that everyone should use, sure it’s possible, but it’s likely not any easier than using unity/unreal engine, s@box hopefully will take some of their base since you can eventually publish your own games without any fees.

vrchat is also like this + furries, they also kinda groom them into furries by not allowing them into their exclusive clubs and kinda bullying them into being one, saw a video on it, discord cults too

Maybe the future of this is platforms like S@box letting ppl make their own mp games and having them be accessible from one location. Probably not realistic, but would be sick if all these fossgames had one portal/serverbrowser to access them from. I think there is something for doom that is essentially that?

I like the aur, only reason i stayed on cachyos instead of trying bazzite, def won’t find everything as a flatpak.

I did swap to bazaar as the appstore, its on aur, works very well, the search actually works, like if i search fps, all the fps games show up, doesn’t work anywhere else for me. And the background downloads, plus download progress manager you could view is nice, bothered me it wasn’t a thing. Would love something like bazaar for the aur, but that’d prob be a chore to mantain compared to flathub that already has icons and images.

I love every package being on the aur or flathub, its so convenient compared to the windows way of discovering and installing software.

While everything just works, I did have to switch to lts kernel because of freezing, this freezing also occured on endeavour and mint tho.
