We have a class problem more than any other problem and i simply do not see how telling any specific demographic outside the 1% that their life is super easy helps to change that.

Sure, you will not get it to zero though and there really is no reason to put people in more danger than necessary.

You would have to believe that people are willing to sacrifice to protect their communities but people aren’t even willing to look at windmills to protect their communities from climate change. Which does not mean they don’t want to keep their community as it is, they might just be to afraid and/or selfish to join themselves.

Meh people aren’t really known to do the “right” thing if they would we wouldn’t have had war in the first place. Also people might be fully supportive of a war but don’t want to get their hands dirty themselves.

The natural conclusion would be that any country forcing its people to fight will probably have an advantage over any country that doesn’t and if that country overtakes you you get conscripted anyway.

Than you should know that if your daughter gets raped she will think about what you said about the thing she was doing at the time of her rape and she will feel guilty.

By questioning a victims choices you are legitamizing their rape, a message heard loud and clear by the perpetrater as well. No amount of “off course it is never okay” is going to change what message you are sending.

We really need to distinguish between “stupid” opinions and “stupid” people.

People are very good at adopting whatever and thats mostly fine. Nobody is forced to partake in the corporate stuff. The sexualization is not a problem on its own the objectification that often comes along with it is as well as the “unspoken” rule that only allows conventionally attractive people to be viewed in a sexual context.

People don’t lose their personhood by being, acting or shown in a sexual context but many do absolutely not view it that way.

The problem i see is that since this mostly happens in visual media without context all meaning it could have is more often than not lost. If sexual content was created with a positive attitude we would see much more diversity. It is very obvious that it caters to people objectifying the protagonists and therefore its not that easy to blatantly approve of it.

This should off course not translate to shaming people in general but it should trigger nuanced debate and action.
