A life-long fan of the political rock group Rage Against the Machine expressed outrage on Tuesday that the band’s politics had changed from how he remembered them in high school.
I remember when they played on a trailer outside the NYSE. It was on MTV News and my brother rolled his eyes and casually said, “Rage Against the Machine but make sure the t-shirts are $25.”
I started laughing and replied, “Does anyone think these guys don’t own stock? They’re on Epic for fuckssake. Ask Joe Strummer and The Clash how that worked out.”
