Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has failed to reverse a preliminary injunction … in defense of Elon Musk

I don’t get it? Is it normal that an AG is working as defense for someone?

MMFA has standing to raise a First Amendment defense, because "the First Amendment generally 'prohibits government officials from subjecting individuals to retaliatory actions after the fact for having engaged in protected speech

Obviously and MMFA only reporting the truth, should get the cases against them thrown out immediately!!

Edwards noted that the day after X sued MMFA over reporting on antisemitic posts appearing next to big brands’ ads on X—alleging the report fraudulently spawned an ad boycott—Paxton announced a broad probe into MMFA that, he confirmed in a press release, was directly due to X’s lawsuit.

OK so it’s not technically a defense of Musk, but clearly corrupt as heck!

The criminal case against Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton on securities fraud charges has ended after nine years — a span during which the Republican was reelected twice

Why do Republicans continue to elect these obviously corrupt officials?

He will stay in office and must pay nearly $300,000 in restitution

And how is he allowed to continue as AG?
USA is an openly corrupt nation!

There’s an old football adage that goes something like “He may be a cunt but he’s our cunt” when referring to a properly nasty player on the pitch.

So it’s ok as long as it’s the team they voted for. Once you allow the unacceptable to be acceptable it’s just shit all the way down.
