The Trump administration is asking the Supreme Court to allow the deployment of National Guard troops in the Chicago area, escalating President Donald Trump’s conflict with Democratic governors over using the military on U.S. soil.
Because there’s no coming back from this one. Once he has the Supreme Court’s support to deploy the military in US cities, the only way back is civil war.
