Hey Republicans, the representatives you elected are really struggling to determine the morality of pardoning the one Epstein accomplice who has been brought to justice. I sure hope you will jot this one down so you can remember it come election season.
They say it’s to get her to speak about Epstein. Except you don’t grant a pardon for that sort of thing- you grant immunity. Potentially even for things she’s already been convicted of, although that gets really complicated.
The only way to pardon her that ends in justice is if her testimony leads to enough serious convictions. But at that point, her testimony is tainted, and any defense counsel would jump on it.
Dangling a presidential pardon in front of her is a great way to get her to testify and throw everyone under the bus that Trump doesn’t like so I’m sure this will happen and it’ll just be a fake proclamation of trump’s innocence.
