It didn’t need a beast, exactly, just a decent rig. I never could fix the vertex explosions, though, and it was mildly unstable.

When I tried it a couple month back, game was crashing every 5minutes. With a 7800x3d,a 9070 and 32gb of ram. I used to think it’s a decent rig but maybe not.

Yeah, but that’s just instability. I imagine you got decent FPS? I tried it further back than you with an R5 3600 and an RX 6600 and I got playable FPS, it just crashed too much.

You do need somewhat of a beast if you want to fix the vertex explosions. To prevent vertex explosions you need to enable readbacks, but those are very performance intensive (and can cause games to be unstable but I lucked out with just getting shit performance). Readbacks took Bloodborne from 1440p ultrawide 60+ fps to 1080p widescreen struggling to hit 60fps in some areas and I tried all sorts of things to even get it running at 60 with readbacks so that sometimes 60 contained all the optimization patches and configurations tweaks, whatever could get me just a bit more performance (none of which I needed when playing 1440p).
