My eight year old followed along for a three hour stage production of Spirited Away in Japanese, with subtitles projected above. So I guess technically supertitles. Point being, kids can handle subs just fine.
Ah, but how about a dubbed version spoken by American robot voices, where the foreign actors uncannily mouth American words? Wouldn’t that be a joy and a gift to the world? Eventually we might even be able to replace all foreign actors with a young Harrison Ford.
On one hand, translating movies and shows would be a great use case. But we all know that’s not what thisll get used for.
I have never understood why translation movies and tv shows would be so great, it works for kids shows, but adults can deal woth subtitles

Subtitles or die, agree!!!
It depends on how actively I want to watch it. I have ADHD and usually do something else at the same time.
