the LAPD leading the spending at more than $100 million in legal settlements. Recent payouts include a $17.7 million settlement with the family of a mentally disabled man who was fatally shot by an off-duty officer inside a Costco, and a $11.8 million payout to a man who sustained a traumatic brain injury in a car accident when an LAPD detective ran a red light.

Yeah it should be illegal to let the LAPD pull funding from taxpayers for things like this.

Take it out of their pensions.

That way the older, senior officers will get pissed at anyone who does something to warrant payouts. And they’ll quickly reform.

I’d like to remind fellow Californians or those outside of our state, last election we held a state wide Prop on if the state should keep using prison labor for things like forest fires and other government tasks like this.

California overwhelmingly voted to keep it in place. I mean, I didn’t.

So the firefighters who are understaffed, underpaid, catching new medical issues are all prisoners who might have some something as simple as be homeless next to a cop’s patrol to guarantee funding for next quarter.

This is America. Arresting the minorities and poor, sending them to clean up the messes the government refuses to clean, and then funding the cops to make more arrests.

Fortunately Trump plans to fill the private prisons to the brim, so there will be no shortage of minorities to send to their deaths from the forced labor camps.

Sending the poor to fight our allies, sending the poor to fight our enemies for the scare supplies, sending the poor to fight climate change disasters.

Why do they always send the poor!

cut the fire department’s funding by more than $17.5 million, or around 2 percent of the previous year’s budget of $837 million.

Should be pretty easy to recoup those funds. Just charge it to the oil companies that caused this mess.

0% of that should come from tax payers. Charge those responsible. Easy.

Solution: send the cops in to fight the fires. All they’re good for is defending capital, so let’s see what they’ve got.

California can’t even commit to stopping the mismanagement of fire prevention. You expect them to commit funding?
