You are assuming that the surveillance systems will be uninterrupted/unaffected by this partisan activity rather than a main target of it. Once it’s damaged, how easily do you think it will be repaired?
Ah, so we are back to the idea of a mass coordinated uprising where everyone organizes via (let’s be honest) reddit to simultaneously destroy the entire US infrastructure. Ah, that makes sense.
Because if you just pop every camera between your tent in the park and the Target you set on fire…
I feel like you are still making a lot of assumptions here. Say there are 5 unrelated people in a city who participate (pretty small numbers). No coordination or communication. There are limited targets within that city. If one does something and damages the surveillance, it will not be repaired instantly. Weeks likely. When this begins happening more frequently, that downtime will increase.
… So now we are at the point of mass coordinated attacks where no coordination is involved but everyone magically hits different targets? All with the power of their AR-15 they bought at Walmart?
Also: This is America. People lose their shit if the wage slaves at starbucks shut down for the afternoon. All it takes is one terrorist/freedom fighter being made an example of to ensure people protect the status quo above all else.
Which gets back to the original point: People want to fantasize about shooting up the bad guys. The reality is that you need The People on your side. Which is why The Black Panthers (among others) focused so much on outreach that did not involve brandishing guns and making sure colt’s profit margins were super high this quarter.
