The point isn’t that there’s “going to be another”…that’s just defeatism. The point is to make them realise that they will NEVER be safe. That there are people willing to do anything to see them strung up by their ankles in a town square.
It’s not defeatism, at all, it’s the recognition of an ineffective method of resolving things. Real life isn’t a movie where things just work out when you do stupid shit.
No despot in history has ever fallen without violence. Hell, your own, country was built on that fact.

Political violence that will make change will be larger scale and organized, not individuals trying to kill a bad president, or two, or three.
