Because people who never needed to use an annoying thing like to imagine and romantize how they would use it. Completely ignoring reality.

It’s not just. He should be locked up for his crimes. If people would want him released, they’d have to vote for a candidate who promises to do that. Just being a promising candidate isn’t a reason not to be prosecuted. There is simply no law for that.
The justice system is being intimidated by an angry mob into waiting out the situation. This is against everything what the justice system is supposed to do.
It’s not the will of “the people”, it’s the will of a minority. He HAS been voted out. Courts should indeed be more powerful than that.
I understand your viewpoint, but disagree.
By that argument any criminal ever could argue against prosecution because they intend to run for a public office. Ridiculous exaggeration of course, but if Trump gets this chance, everyone else should too.
You really took the downvotes with grace.
My so called broccoli-potato-gratin with pork neck includes quite an amount of cream, salt, bouillion cubes and cheese. My wife doesn’t know and it will stay that way.
The real question is: if Obama gave Trump an obviously terrible plan, with the goal to let as many people die as possible, would Trump have gone out of his way to save each and everyone - simply out of spite for Obama?
Of course he wouldn’t have, but I like the idea.
13% of Democrats agree with Trump on that. What the actual fuck?
No surprise? People have nuanced views, different opinions, from left to center to right, even hardcore racist ones… and vote Democrats. Just as you could find conservatives who do not agree with the statement.
The statement is so vague and loaded and can be agreed or disagreed with from all kinds of people.
Edit: And yes it’s quite ironic(?) that so many people agree with this - in a country where people unironically track that they’re 12% German, or 20% Irish, or whatever.
I’m proud that in that time of crisis I was strong and served my country and fellow citizens, simply by staying home and not bothering anyone.
The same people who warned us about the dangers of the internet and not to believe everything, are now the ones readily falling for and spreading conspiracies and lies from social media.
It’s tragic.
Totally the same /s
I never found anything which scratches the same itch Claymore does.
In my experience: the higher up the management chain, the higher the chance that they are just in for the bonuses - not for the company / industry. And those bonuses are always bound to these numbers which need to go up. When the numbers go down, these people are long gone.
The first people to leave aren’t going to be the clock punchers, it will be the best and brightest who can easily find other jobs.
Yes. But some of them are also the most expensive ones, so when they leave costs go down. And we all know “numbers must go up” (=cost must go down).
There is also no requirement to be a “good guy” to attend the conference.
Correct. But it’s kind of the inevitable outcome that only “good guys” attend. Why would any bad actor go there and risk being exposed / caught…
Cosmic Encounter
No two games are ever the same. So are the attempts to lure people in and out of encounters, and the following betrayels. Great fun.
You are correct. It was a monoculture forest and designed to be cut down sooner or later anyway.
The same people couldn’t wear a face mask to save the lives of their relatives.
Yes, because they are a) at the tipping point where they control enough institutions so the pieces fall together now, and b) someone came along who’s actually used all those pieces and everyone could see how absolutely unprepared and completely helpless the system and the political opponent was. They realized they don’t need to tiptoe around anymore.
It does. I don’t want them to be guillotined either. I want to take their money, not their lives.
The cult is attached to Trump, yes. But when he dies his followers won’t suddenly wake up from their madness and flock behind a “normal candidate”.
They will still go for the crazy ones who act and talk the way Trump did. There may not be a second Trump, but they are lost nevertheless.
