There is no backyard surgeon way of transplanting a liver - these people will just die.
Not everything in black and white makes sense.

There is no backyard surgeon way of transplanting a liver - these people will just die.

How does that work?
Would people just park somewhere at the drive in and eat in their cars or would they just put everything inside the car and then give the tray back?
I doubt they drove home with the tray attached and the food on it?

And a lot of people will learn about botulism hands on.

I remember when browsers just showed text.
We should just throw away the web and do something new. Maybe Fidonet over Reticulum so we can use radio.

The only one I can think about is Pharao.
There was a re-release recently

Pompeii: The Legacy
Another take on roman inspired city builders. It’s in early access but already really playable.

Metropolis 1998
City builder inspired by sim city 2000 with pixel graphics. The interesting thing here is that you can plan and decorate the houses you build. So it’s a bit of simcity / sims mix with retro graphics
Currently only a demo is available.

So software development by magic - makes sense.

That’s something I don’t understand.
I mean there is endless capitalism out there - what prevents China from just buying a company that has one? Like if you out up one Trillion dollars on Trumps desk tomorrow they could basically choose which company they want.

So they have been handed some Oday exploits by mainboard manufacturers and are actively exploiting it and somehow I have to like it.
God I hate modern IT.

Polenta that is not liquid or soup like. I remember it being thick, almost crumbly but I never can get the consistency from my childhood.

I think they are also behind this. Force Taiwan to open up the latest fab in the US - rob their tech and “sink” Taiwan.

If that wasn’t a rich people class institution, it would be called a title mill and closed for that …

This is idiocracy in action. These kind of propaganda ops only work if you can stop the bad stuff you are doing for at least 5 minutes.
When the Saudi comedy festival circus was going on they didn’t imprison and or kill the comedians they paid to go there. They could stop for the metaphorical 5 minutes - the current US clown show is too stupid even for that.

I think we are already seeing that with Microsoft. Another 2-3 rounds of AI and they forget how to build windows.

With enough malice and ignorance you can repurpose epigenetics to fit the Lamarckian model.

As a fellow diaeresis user I concur.

Now I wonder if the US was always a gerontocracy.

Thinking about that, it reminds me of addiction. You replace your motivational system with another one, that gives you a faster and easier reward.
There might be some heroic backyard surgeons who try, but mostly this is done in normal hospitals, it’s just that no one is asking where the organ comes from.
