Yes, there are a lot of decaf roasting options, but only a few ways to process the beans. Did you watch the tasting event that just took place ? I think they did decaf this year.

It is above most publicly accepted ratios. This is the one that works best with the water and process I use. I used to do like 21 to 360 or something, but this works out nice.
Made it as espresso. It definitely has a lot of crema. I’m still getting it dialed in. Tastes good, but I didn’t think my palette is refined enough to say it taste different from other medium roasts. With that said, I didn’t think I’ll be getting another bag.
Yeah, I’m going to espresso brew it tomorrow. I wasn’t thinking of an Americano, just a straight shot. I have that ninja machine that’s all the rage right now. It does the job. Will see.
I also noticed that the beans are shiny.
I want physical media that is not sold on optical disks. Sell me content on SD cards for example.
I hope they survive this time. I love getting a nice copy of a book as a gift.
Sure you can convert the DVD to whatever codec, I have found the original mpeg stream to not be very compatible with my devices. When I did 264, it was more for speed. It’s a 480 p/I mpeg2 stream, I don’t think 265 is worth the extra CPU cycles for this case. This is also just an opinion. 👍
True about AC3 being left alone, but dts should be converted, I can’t seem to get that to bitstream as nice as Dolby tracks.
I do reencode my uhd rips, to bring them down to 1080. I only have one 4k display and it’s not worth the bandwidth to try and stream it for me.
Did you try Kodi? Also, I recommend reencoding your dvd rips to h264 with eAC3 audio.
I got them on Amazon, the only place I could find them as well. However, I didn’t search as hard as you I think.
The Stumptown aeropress video will give you an idea of using it while camping.
I pan roast and it makes pretty tasty coffee, but doesn’t work well as an espresso bean. For that I stick with something professionally done. I don’t think I would invest in roasting beyond what I’ve done. It’s a good way to understand more about the process/journey that beans undergo.
Next time in South Cali check out Philz coffee. It’s pour over and an interesting menu.
Have you considered roasting beans?
I also started my journey of coffee fun not too long ago. My journey started when I wanted a manual process to replace my drip machine. The gateway drug was the aeropress. I love how quick that think makes a great cup, but the v60 can’t be beat.
I picked Toshiba drives personally. However, I know of a bunch of WD reds running for years with no issues.
I think since the nas cases aren’t insolated for sound, your going to hear them moving that head around…
Have you considered an ssd populated nas? It does cost more however :(
This sounds like the WP Engine debate.
What are these cables for when all new displays that support it will have builtin app that everyone is going to use to watch streaming services with. The last time I have seen an external streamer used was for someone with an older TV where the builtin apps are no longer updated.
I get the need for eARC usage, but that’s already implemented… So…?
Yes, I have run wires to a few rooms, but not everywhere and it can be difficult to convince myself to continue down this path. However, it is the more affordable option.
You mean run wires?
While not really for my hosting, I want to upgrade the Wi-Fi speeds in my home, currently running an eero setup that provides good coverage, but the speed seems poor when transferring large files around the home.
Not sure what to get, but this is my goal.
Maybe this will be a new point of evolution and our eye shapes will change in a new (not better) way were we see worse… Who knows… I don’t know what I’m talking about . ✌️
