If you had the power to save only one life would you take it, or let them die because you don’t like your options?
You aren’t as morally pure as you think. We have to do what we can with what we have.
Now they’re all going to die.
Yep

Using curse words doesn’t mean I’m “so offended”. If that’s your bar, that’s a you problem.
The hell he is. He hasn’t been coherent in years. He just says his insane shit with confidence

Yes it was. Gold star for you.
I must be his #1 fan because reasons.
Have an ice cream cone or something man. It’ll help that attitude.
It’s almost like he had the self awareness to change his mind when presented with compelling, new information.
It’s what mature adults do
If you think the only way any adult can change their mind is if they’re forced to, it speaks more of you than them.
Not that I’m aware of. Still easy though. Download arch, download Emulation station, then play to your heart’s content
There’s also emulation station for Android now, as well! On top of retroarch, it makes for a great experience
Cigarette butts really anger me. It’s a sign of entitlement that I hate. The person knows it’s smelly and disgusting, so they get it as far away from their person or car without a second thought.
I can be judgemental about it because I smoked for over 20 years. I kept a ziplock bag on me (kind of like you would for dog poop when walking your dog) and would keep em in there until I could find a trash can. The ashtray in my car was also used instead of throwing them out the window.
Now that I’ve quit the habit, I notice it even more. It’s awful. My father and mother in law throw their butts on our lawn literally every time they come over, even though they are fully aware that we don’t smoke. When I put a coffee can on the front porch and let them know that’s where they should throw them, they looked at ME like I was the rude one.
Judge em hard. Cigarette smokers have very little space for other people in their world.
No it doesn’t. Didn’t for me. I lived in a twenty year old Ford explorer for almost a year pursuing mine. Didn’t succeed or make it big, but I wouldn’t have traded it for the world. Not every dream relies on college loans, dude. Not if you’re an artist.
I’d go so far as to say man, many dreams people have don’t require a degree.
And if they do? DO IT ANYWAY. I attended two years of college for film. Never got a career out of it. Still paying off my debt. Still don’t regret ANY of it.
Still getting by on the strings of my butt hairs in my 40s. Still wouldn’t take any of it back.
Never sucked the love for either dream out of it. Did I get dressed? Sure. Did I go through a lot of shit and a lot of disappointment? Definitely. I’m two years out from failing in my latest attempt at pursuing one of my many dreams. You couldn’t pay me all the money in the world to take it back.
You’re speaking to me… about me. About my experiences and telling me how it made me feel. Sorry my dude, I can’t agree with you.
Take those chances. The memories are worth it. The stories are worth it. The lessons you learn along the way are definitely worth it, homie
Counterpoint to all the young people: Never listen to ANYONE who tells you not to follow your passion.
It’s better to try, fail and learn than it is to grow old and wonder what could have been
Travel. Try new things. Eat food you’ve never tried before.
Get into the habit of reading. Actual books, not just things like lemmy.
Realize that literally every person you meet is a walking story, just like yourself
Brush your fuckin teeth.
Also: Floss. Seriously. Take care of your damn teeth. They’re important.
They haven’t been reasonable since Nixon
They have more uranium than we do
There’s a documentary for free on YouTube. It’s good.
Only because I turned 18. But it was nice, nonetheless.
I’m in my 40s, now. I still have nightmares about getting out back into a center. But I also have a strong sense of justice and sometimes compassion for strangers due to my time in those places.
Seeing people my age put their OWN kids into those places and lost me a friendship, recently. I see nothing good coming from those places
I’ve lived in multiple “troubled teen” centers. You are 100% correct.
Good news for you, I guess… this includes making women sign up.
Yeah, this whole “that place hasn’t had peace for thousands of years” is a Western talking point made to justify our occupation there.
The Ottoman and Arab empire (which we LOVE to pretend never existed) not only brought a lot of the innovations in science and technology that we still use to this day, but they also had a lot of social advancements that predated Western culture.
