For MetaGer, there isn’t a free tier as far as I understand or can see. You need to pay for credits but key creation is gratis.

No, but involved different communities when creating it and some people made the move only to be told about Brave’s CEO history, then regretted it. Added the note so people can be informed one way or the other.
