But if it’s any consolation, Iran also defeated Iraq and the US didn’t take on Iraq alone. I personally don’t believe Iraq was a worthy opponent for the US. But saying the US hasn’t won a war since WW2 is factually incorrect.

Americans are far from prudes, but there’s a place and a time for nudity. If we allowed public nudity in advertisements, half of our billboards would turn into porn. If you don’t believe me, look at any state that’s legalize marijuana: it seems literally half of all advertising is for weed. I think Americans are mostly terrified of European nihilism and don’t want to fall into the same trap.

Driving drunk is known to be dangerous. People who indulge in that behavior eventually hurt others. We don’t wait for a drunk driver to crash into someone before we arrest them. We arrest them the minute they turn on their car while drunk.

Someone who indulges in sexualizing children will eventually hurt a child and we should not need to wait for it to happen before we arrest them.
