  • All of these horrible things from maga were not new though, yet so many still voted for them last time, and will again probably. Many flip flop, blame Dems for high prices they didn’t cause, at least this time blamed maga for causing high prices, but that’s coincidence. A lot of people flippantly flip flop, and will blame Dems next time since all the media says they’re in charge, but don’t know they can’t do whatever they want with all the maga obstruction of investigations and such. It also takes longer to build than destroy and most don’t have patience and demand instant gratification, so they’ll flop around.

I hope I’m wrong and they really see the light now and understand it all well, won’t lay false blame on Dems again and that maga is still the same, still toxic and bad policies so no flopping back.

  • He’s right and these policies are shown to work in other places too. Reduce artificial scarcity and related stress and people do better. I hope Dems pass major bills even if orange vetoes them and they can’t get a supermajority, they must try. If only everyone understood how well healthy policies work where they are, even public housing can work when done right, but when it’s sabotaged and underfunded by maga, and done wrong it fails.

Q: If we want public housing to be a successful investment—where units stay in good shape, tenants thrive, and taxpayer dollars are respected—what are the three most critical policies we should implement to prevent the failures of the past (like Pruitt-Igoe) and replicate the successes of places like Vienna or Singapore?

  • This would be cool and should do it before '28, but it would probably get held up in courts. Another thing to do is increase the number Reps. Offer ranked choice voting. Make fair districts in all states decided by bipartisan groups and campaign finance reform like MT’s voters passed*. Things that improve elections for We The People, and less annoying bs ads should be supported by everyone. All but the wealthy owners who want to keep their massive benefits over the majority, and too many destitute folks support that and dig their own holes deeper, but can choose to stop.
