You should absolutely be treating the US government as a hostile entity. Many Americans are also treating it as such, and are organizing emergency preparations (mainly go-bags) for things like martial law, civil war, and being targeted as a result of belonging to a prohibited minority group. You should take the US government’s threats seriously. We are.
I hope with time we can prove to you that there’s Americans here fighting against this. I know it doesn’t look great now, and don’t blame you for hating us and our country. As an American, I also hate us and our country.
