And that’s where the difference between liberalism and anarchism show. Intellectual Property isn’t real. Ethically training your own models in anarchist philosophy means not including CSAM, Revenge porn, or anything else disgusting like that, anything available is yours to use as you see fit.

Using other people’s copyrighted content is not theft anymore than pirating movies is theft. We aren’t here to serve other’s capitalist desires and fantasies. That includes paying for or asking for permission to use pixels.

There is nothing capitalist about rolling your own models which is what we do here, but hey. You just gave a great example of how anti-AI people don’t like to let reality get in the way of a good narrative.

Intellectual Property is not a consideration for anarchists. Maybe it is for liberals but anarchists do not often suffer from liberal thoughts. If we do we work to improve ourselves and stop having them.

I’m not in a position to have children financially at the moment, and I am getting older so that might not be possible. Also I’ve been told that chemo can cause sterility (I went through chemotherapy for breast cancer). It might not be possible for me to have biological children anymore.

It would be better for everyone if people who wanted to use AI just ran AI models themselves locally on their own hardware and people stopped giving money or data to these trillion dollar tech companies. And of course if they don’t want to they don’t have to, I’m not your mom, do what you want.

I would only be comfortable with that if an independent group was doing that for a good cause and would publish their results for all to see. You know, for the good of humanity. If a corporation does it they’ll do everything in their power to gatekeep it, so they can bankrupt anyone who needs it and profit off their suffering. I say that as someone with a lot of medical debt myself.

The house in the picture that was posted looks exactly like my own, I’m inclined to believe it was mine. Which is scary, not just because it was my house posted 3 times on a public forum but because someone would need to know me personally to either A. Know what My (deleted) Facebook is called, or B. Know where I live already. In either case it means it’s someone who knows me personally in the real world. Possibly someone who’s been in direct contact with me and gone through my phone. Which creeps me the fuck out.

I don’t know what world you’re living in where it’s legal to post a picture of someone’s house and where they live, but in most places this is a crime, and it is a crime where I live.

I never shared any of that stuff here ever. I’m not even sure how they would’ve found it unless it’s possibly a real life stalker. Would’ve had to be someone pretty close to me to get into my phone to see my profile here.

I did call the police when it happened, maybe they’ll be able to do something but somehow I don’t see this going anywhere.

pict-rs doesn’t seem to copy images except as thumbnails and these were comments. If the admins remove the pict-rs entries on programming.dev they won’t be accessible unless someone saved them.
