  • There is clearly some miscommunication here. You seem to be under the idea that I have given up, or surrendered. Its quite to the contrary. You are proposing that we court evil in the hopes of making progress. That has been the democrat mission for over a decade now. We are in a worse position than we ever could have imagined a decade ago. That policy has failed, hands down. There is no arguing that, it is an absolute failure. You cannot be more appealing to a republican than a republican. Compromise is tangent. When your opponent is arguing for the abolishment of abortion with no exceptions, what can you possibly gain for compromising with them? You are seriously going to give an inch to people to literally just want to make women suffer? Who want to instill religion into our government and schools? Who wants to deport members of our community and entire families back into countries where they will be killed within a year? Youre arguing for compromise as if this isnt life and death from a stance that has been tested and failed. SO MANY people have already died due to these policies of giving ground to republicans.

  • But thats the thing. There are no neutral observers. I dont remember if you said you were european or if that was someone else, but living here its pretty obvious to everyone that there arent any undecideds. Were not trying to convince someone who knows nothing about it, because there isnt anyone who knows nothing about it. Even if there was, at this point youd have to be an uneducated as a maga voter to hold that opinion, so my point still stands. If you are not willing to make an effort to educate yourself, you do not deserve to be taken seriously by anyone that is actually working towards a solution.

Compromises are how we got here, id rather not allow our party to shift even farther to the right. In fact, that literally makes the problem worse because instead of one person arguing for attrocities, we have one person arguing for attrocities and one person saying “well, we should at least hear them out”

Edit: questioning myself is how i got to these beliefs, but maybe you are right. Maybe i should reconsider whether to seriously engage with people that want to hang me for not being white, and i should try to convince those that want to execute my aunt for being trans that maybe thats not the way to go.

  • Ah yes, another maga apologist. Hopefully eventually people like you will realise that this world is never going to get better while you play in the ball pit eith all the other kids. If republicans dont want to act like adults, then dont treat them like adults. Remove their agency. Ridicule them. Publically shame them every chance you get. The only chance we have of ever fixing this country is to shame the right so completely that we leave it as part of our culture that we dont stand for this bullshit.

You say “your body, my choice” and as far as im concerned you are no longer a human capable of autonomy. You have just forfeited your human rights.

  • Bruh just flat out no. The reason we lost is 100% the opposite of that. The reason we lost is because biden and harris both tried to be more moderate to attract republicans. Instead of actually doing anything useful and fixing the world, they both focused on sucking off netanyahu instead of free healthcare and ubi.

They failed the base that elected them and tried to court the enemy. Courting republicans is a waste of time unless your goal is to make things worse. The only way to deal with these fucking vegetables is to treat them like theyre in the past. Ignore republican talking points. Cringe when your republican cousin talks. If you see a trump flag, stop, point and laugh.

Shame these fucks and make sure they understand that they will no longer be taken seriously. The adults are talking and MAGA has chosen to sit at the little kids table.

Fucking shun every single one of them. They no longer are part of our society

Rattle enakes and coyotes are the only two of those i wouldnt be willing to handle wild. If you know what you are doing most animals make their body language pretty clear. And the vast majority of them want nothing to do with you unless they deem you as a non threat. As far as taking them home, i dont think you should take any animal home unless it clearly seems open to domestication. Ive handled scorpions locally that were super chill, i go out of my way to handle local jumping spiders if theyre willing to jump on me. Dogs are the only animal i see and my first instinct is fear and yet they dont require anything. I mean a lot of them are literally bred to kill shit, yet have less oversight than a squirrel.

I have. Ive interacted with birds, insects, wild cats including the occasional bobcat, wild rodents, including squirrels, mice, rats, racoons, possums, armadillos, etc. I am very active with my local wildlife. And where I live, without a doubt, the second most dangerous thing here is pet dogs, only beaten out by other people. The dogs are so disproportionally dangerous that the third most dangerous thing here is drug overdose. I dont think i have ever heard of the wildlife fucking anyone up here. But two weeks ago my neighbor two houses down had to go get stitches due to being bitten by one of the other neighbors dogs after it got out. The dog got put down. This is i think the third time this has happened on my block this year. Different houses, different dogs each time. Dogs are a fucking menace to my neighborhood.

  • Nicky Jam is taking back his endorsement of Donald Trump. On Wednesday, the Puerto Rican singer — who endorsed the former president at a rally last month — shared a video on his Instagram revealing that he “renounces” his support for Trump, citing Tony Hinchcliffe’s recent “floating island of garbage” joke at a Trump event.

“The reason why I supported Donald Trump is because I thought he’d be the best option for the U.S. economy where so many Latinos live, including me. Immigrants are suffering because of the economy,” he said in his video. “Since he’s a businessman, I thought he’d be the best movement.”

“I never in my life thought a month later a comedian would criticize my country and speak poorly of my country so for that reason, I renounce any support of Donald Trump, and I will throw myself to the sideline of anything political,” he added. “Puerto Rico deserves respect.” Popular on Rolling Stone

Nicky Jam’s post comes just days after Bad Bunny, Ricky Martin, Luis Fonsi, and Jennifer Lopez were among the artists of Puerto Rican descent who reshared posts from Vice President Kamala Harris the same day Hinchcliffe made his joke about Puerto Rico. (Jam was one of three Puerto Rican reggaetoneros, including Anuel AA and Justin Quiles, to support Trump.)

When Jam joined Trump onstage in Las Vegas last month, the former president misgendered him and seemed to have no idea who he was.

“Do you know Nicky? She’s hot. Where’s Nicky?” Trump said from the stage. “Oh, look, I’m glad he came up.” Once Jam took the stage, the Puerto Rican singer made a short speech, telling the crowd: “People that come from where I come from, they don’t meet the president. So I’m lucky. We need you. We need you back, right? We need you to be the president.”

Jam’s Trump endorsement of Trump drew intense backlash, including from Mexican band Maná, who pulled their collaboration with him from streaming services, with the band’s frontman Fher Olvera writing, “Maná doesn’t work with racists.” Trending Stories

Following Jam’s retraction, Olvera commended Jam’s decision to walk back the endorsement in a statement to Rolling Stone: “It’s never too late to change your mind. There’s still time to do the right thing. This is about exercising our Latino power. Go out and vote for our rights.”

Tomorrow, Maná will join Vice President Harris during a rally in Las Vegas, where Jennifer Lopez will also speak. Although Puerto Rico can’t help elect the president, there are thousands of Puerto Rican voters in Pennsylvania, one of the pivotal battleground states in the 2024 election.
