Don’t forget the one that SHOULD HAVE gotten GOTY: Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

> turn on the light
> get out of bed
> open the curtain
As you part your curtains, you see that is a bright morning, the sun is shining, the birds are singing, the meadows are blooming, and a large yellow bulldozer is advancing towards your home.
Must be a Thursday. I never could get the hang of those.

A lot of people have mentioned ProtonDB already, but I’ll throw in Lutris as well. It’s a multi-platform game launcher that supports Steam, GOG, Humble Games, Epic Games, EA, etc. but its website also lets you search for a game title, and most should have a user-created method to launch.

It’s more that flash NAND uses a small electric charge to keep the NAND gates in the correct configuration. Over time, that charge dissipates. If you power the storage device every once in a while, you minimize these chances.
Here’s a video explaining why it happens to Wii U’s after being powered off for a while. https://youtu.be/JHME4zLs6Qs

Yeah, I get that. This one store has remained in its early-2000s renovation layout while all the other nearby locations of its size went the opposite direction and became Neighborhood Markets and only sell food. That’s what has me baffled by it.

The Walmart in my town is weird as fuck because it barely has any food in it. Like MAYBE 10% of their floorspace is foodstuffs. And it used to be okay because there was an employee-owned grocery store in town. Well, that grocery store chain apparently got bought out recently, and not only are they raising their prices faster than Walmart, they also can’t keep the shelves stocked because the people doing the ordering don’t work in the stores. I’m actually thinking I might have to start driving an hour to the nearest WinCo if prices keep skyrocketing like this.
It shouldn’t be too hard, and considering private key authentication, you could even use a single sign-in for multiple platforms/accounts, and use the public key as an identifier to link them across platforms. I know there’s already a couple proof-of-concept Gemini forums/BBSs out there already. Maybe they just need a popularity boost?
My work laptop has two USB-A and two USB-C ports, and that’s it. And once of those C’s gets used to charge it. Plus, it’s so thin that the battery lasts an hour and a half just idling on desktop. I’m just glad I mostly work on hardware stuff so I hardly ever have to actually use it.

Does this disable updates though? My wife somehow had Win11 installed on her pc without enabling secure boot, and her updates got so far behind that now it refuses to update and needs to be reinstalled.

Out of curiosity, do you have an Nvidia graphics card? I tried migrating to Linux at the beginning of this year, but I couldn’t get my favorite games to run, like Cyberpunk 2077 and Kingdom Come Deliverance, so I ended up bailing.
Definitely get Card Shark if you have a gamepad. I bought it a couple days ago, and I’m in love with it.
