Historically, bodies of water are the most dangerous. Not just due to drowning but the constant threat of predators at the waters edge.

But the biggest problem with your statistic is that most kids just simply don’t have access to large bodies of water regularly. If you were to factor that in, I think you’d find the risk is much, much higher.

I think a lot of the downvotes I’ve gotten are from people who haven’t been exposed to much water. I grew up in Australia, we’re almost all trained swimmers.

But even here swimming lessons aren’t common before 5.

Kid was 5, went on a short walk to an open body of water where he would get feathers unsupervised.

When drowning is the second largest cause of deaths in children, I don’t think this is an acceptable level of risk.

The point is that the post makes it sound like using a Pixel 11 under Android results in less security than before, but for most people there is no change since they never used MTE anyway.

That’s not what they’re saying. They’re saying Graphene without MTE is less secure, which isn’t something they want.

Well, wet dirt is permeable and my understanding was they needed to stop the radioactive material leeching into the water table. Which would have caused radiation poisoning and cancer rates to soar for much of Europe.

It also was not stupid from start to finish. If it were, it would still be uncovered and half of Europe would need to be evacuated.

Linters have existed for a long time. They were the original AI that generated code. Using AI to supplement work in a similar manner isn’t replacing devs.

So I’vw never used a linter that generates code. I’ve used them to enforce code styles but never to generate code. And code generation isn’t really the point there.

Second. AI isn’t replacing devs? The massive layoffs in the tech sector would disagree. Its also not “dogshit apps”. Google claims 90% of their code is generated and Microsoft claims 30% both come coupled with massive layoffs. To be fair Microsoft is kinda dogshit and Google search sucks now. But googles apps remain higher quality.
