People making the decisions are removed from how work gets done, how users engage with the product, and any real consequences. But they keep most the profits despite contributing minimally.

I don’t know how many people have the absolute position that it “can’t be used as a tool to improve anything”.
There’s a lot of “it’s risky and expensive and anti-labor, so I don’t think we should be pouring all this effort into it”

Capitalism. The people calling the shots and keeping the profits are not the people doing the work.
It’s bad and will continue to be bad for everyone except the top layer of rich people.

Aside from the possibility of me being unclear, your extremely aggressive response is uncalled for. Furthermore, “everyone” is not evident given there’s a total of 3 votes on the post.
My intended point was it would be nice if people were better, and could admit fault. They can’t. That’s a common human behavior that’s infuriating. They’d rather double down. I was agreeing with you.

I’m not sure how you inferred from me lamenting that it’s impossible for people to simply grow up and admit fault, that I think that it is possible. You seem to have read my post… not even backwards, but just wrong.

I feel like my religious liberty isn’t respected. My religion considers capitalism to be a sin in line with theft. When you don’t give to the poor, you sin. Go on, Alito. Rule for my liberty.

It’s just rubs MAGA’s noses in the fact that they were wrong, which anyone who’s ever met knows will just make them double down.
This is true but man is it an infuriating property of humans. It’s a stupid emotional response because that’s easier. Just be mature enough to grow and change. It’s okay. Impossible request, I know.
When I was in elementary school, a teacher said like “I haven’t had a drink in 5 years” and I said “Wouldn’t you, like, die?”
I don’t know if he thought I was fucking with him, or my parents told me not drinking booze was lethal, or what, but he didn’t like laugh and clarify what he meant.
They probably assume a good chunk of their audience is people not really paying attention, or who tuned in halfway. For someone watching all day it’s repetitive, but for someone who just showed up it’s fresh. If they did something deep that needs context, the people who arrive 35% of the way through are going to be lost.

I think most people are so disorganized in their thinking, they can’t “prompt” well. There’s a lot of unclarified assumptions and leaps in how many people communicate
Some people are better at them than others. I’ve had a couple toe-curling fellations, and a lot of “that’s enough dear” ones.
One time I couldn’t figure out how to do something in this old game I was replaying. Typed in the problem, and found an old forum post of mine where I explained what to do in that section. At least I didn’t do a classic “nevermind - solved it” post back then.

I have thought about writing a story about someone who kills all the leadership ghouls who force return to office, no holiday pay, and so on. Not sure what I could do to raise it from revenge porn to something deep.
NYC, but I can’t promise I’m representative of how people talk, heh.
I went on a brief tangent trying to find what people call it by region but didn’t find a cool map of anything. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grocery_store does say that it’s sometimes used as I did, though.
This supermarket used to have self checkout, but they got rid of it for some reason.
They do have a line reserved for Uber eats, door dash, etc. Not a fan of that.
BJ’s does that and it’s very fast. They have a guy at the exit do a spot check, but there’s basically no line.
BJ’s does have an annual subscription though, which sucks.
I think I’ve read that it is about perception, which is up there with children thinking the tall, narrow, glass has more water after pouring the short wide glass into it.

Right? But it was so … Short sighted, to think it would last forever and you’d never need to organize.
I don’t think “decent Nazi” is a valid combination
