Nowadays you dont even have to use iOS/android to get something that just works, GrapheneOS for example also is fully there already (apart from NFC payment but that’s really the only thing)

I haven’t found anything apart from Google Pay’s NFC payment that doesnt work (Google Pay for online payment does work).

My list of working apps includes banking apps for two different banks, national government communication app, audi app, two apps for charging electric vehicles, two apps for public transport tickets, …

Using GrapheneOS for a few years now, its great. Banking apps also work. Only thing that doesnt work is NFC payment via google pay.

We don’t have such problems in Austria. We also don’t have 40 degrees but I dare say it’s not inherent of trains.

Does that actually shorten its lifespan? Aren’t GPUs made to run at full power without wear? (As long as they don’t overheat, but they thermal throttle before that)
