9·8 days agoI’ve been fixated on Caves of Qud.
It took a while to get into, dying over and over is common. However it’s VERY fun. I think I’ve sunk 200+ hours into it already and I’m nowhere near finished with it.

FWIW I’ve played it almost entirely on the Steam Deck it works perfectly well. They did a great job.
The “excuse” is it is appealing to some and not you, which is fine. I personality love the art style (it’s what got me interested in Qud in the first place).

Tim (the player) is likely the villain. His quest was never about saving the princess but about his own selfish desire to reclaim something/someone that no longer wants him. The game masterfully subverts expectations, making players reflect on perspective, responsibility, and consequences.

Or Caves of Qud for a more adventure based game (I know DF has an adventure mode but goddamn is Caves of Qud good).
Your apparent argument is based off (wilful?) ignorance as to which publishers other than Ubisoft take part in this sort of practice and suggesting a boycott, which fixes nothing…
PZ! Heck yes! I haven’t played this game in forever but always had a blast when playing it!
Riders Republic wasn’t for me, primarily due to the controls. Having just come from Descenders, the control philosophy felt so vastly different that I couldn’t adjust. It never stopped feeling like a struggle, which was a shame.
