I’m no programmer (not a good one, anyway) but it seems to me that the beeps are all in the same tone, or very similar. I wonder if one could write a program that listens for that tone and simply mutes it. Could be setup as a Firefox extension or something.

I think he’s breaking some etiquette rules, but good for him.

I don’t remember my first time, tbh, but it’s always just been for an ambulance. Seen a few bad car accidents and a coworker had a seizure and needed some assistance.

AI slop. Half of those “words” aren’t even words /s

Don’t.

Agreed. I had the same thought and then saw the numbers and was like wait, “which part of this is the fucked up part?”

1,640 and 3,281 feet (500 and 10,000 meters)
I feel like this needs a second look.
I don’t know how up to date this is, because I haven’t used it in a while but it was helpful to me when I was first getting started: https://github.com/mikeroyal/Self-Hosting-Guide#getting-started-with-self-hosting
I ended up going with proxmox because you get all the features of proxmox, and you can use docker on it. So, best of both worlds. For some youtube resources, check out:
There is also https://landchad.net/ which has some useful info and tutorials.
Lastly, these final two aren’t guides per se, but have lots of useful resources:

I ran it for about 7 and a half minutes earlier. It’s a little slow to start but once I got used to the rhythm of things I really started to understand why it’s so popular.
Overall, I’d say I’m a fan.

lmao I forgot CAPTCHA was even an acronym. Thanks!

I guess, yeah I hadn’t thought about it in exactly those terms.
Is this like a reverse Turing test?

It used to be much worse. I remember being excluded from group chats in high school because of the color of the chat bubble for android was different or some shit lol

I kind of felt this way about Goblin Slayer. I think that’s the one, anyway.

I’m pretty sure for most of them you just type update and it will update.

Weird way to spell “How automated DMCA take-down requests are ruining the internet for everyone”

Is that even a word?

Yeah, and I’m considerably new to the field. Not unskilled but like entry level new, as far as professional tech experience goes. I was trying to change careers from business degree / accountant when I was laid off.
Really trying not to go back to accounting as it was mind numbingly boring.
I’m just gonna keep trying until something gives and have fun learning more in the process.
I want a watch that does all of the things a laptop and a cell phone could through peripheral devices that connect to the watch wirelessly and operate as things like laptops, phones, televisions, w/e else. The “phone” part is just a touchscreen that operates off of the watch. Same for the “laptop”; just a screen and keyboard that connects to the watch. These things do not /cannot operate without the watch being present, and don’t store any data themselves. Any screen or laptop can connect to any watch (with a secure pairing), meaning screens can be loaned and shared between watch owners without the same fears one might have letting someone else borrow, or even hold your phone.
I guess I don’t want less devices. Just a consolidation of all my computational power (save for servers, i guess) into one portable, connectable (castable?) device. No more carrying around my cell phone and laptop if everything is on my wrist and I can just use any cheap / borrowed/ community “laptop” or “phone” wherever I go and still access everything I need.
