Smoking no, never. I was a heavy drinker in my teens and 20s, gave that up because I was getting fat (I’m vain, deal with it!). At that time, I started taking MDMA and speed. It was the late 90s, so it was a pretty standard for the rave and alternative scenes at the time. Gave that up when I got Menieres disease in my early 40s. Now I have one drink once or twice a month, but mostly drink plain old water.

I’ve worn progressive lenses for nearly 10 years now. I did get one pair on the cheap, and they were truly awful, unusable. That’s when I figured out that going cheap with progressive lenses isn’t worth it. That may be what has happened to you. Even with good lenses, it takes me a few days, maybe a week to get used to them when I get a new pair. Stairs are… difficult though, especially going down. I live in a busy European city, so I use public transport a lot, and that means lots of stairs. I can no longer run up and down them like I used to.

This is going to be a wildly unpopular opinion, but I think we have this backwards: they want you to focus on Epstein while they dismantle American democracy. They dont care if Trump gets arrested. There are plenty more fascists to take his place. What really matters to them is the Christian fascists state they want to create.
