Probably similar to the question of “why aren’t there as many black serial killers as white ones” biggest reason is that serial killers mostly kill within their own race. Cops don’t give a shit about missing black victims, so black serial killers who hunt in the shadows are never investigated and caught because nobody is looking for them. Female serial killers i would guess are mostly poisoners laying low and working in an hospice and other fields where they’re less likely to be caught. Cops also don’t find women to be threatening and won’t see them as cold blooded killers
Yeah definitely. One of the most recent serial killers in the UK was Lucy Letby, a neonatal nurse who would poison newborns to death by injecting air into their bloodstreams.
The only reason she was ever caught was because she targeted newborns, had she targeted the elderly or infirm, the likelihood is she wouldn’t have been caught. There were several warnings on the buildup to the investigation. Fellow staff had raised concerns about her that were brushed under the rug etc… it took a police force of around 70 officers just to track her down, purely because nobody could fathom her acting in such an evil manner.
