I will say, its a shame I watched those 3 in that order. Sure, Avatar is known for its motion capture CGI filming techniques, but I think the Planet of the Apes movies were more impressive in that regard.
That being said (minor spoilers for Avatar 3 below)

There were 2 clips where a Naavi AND a human climbs over a barrier. (They actually did it twice in that fight scene. Makes me think that James Cameron did that on purpose JUST to show off) That made me fully DiCapiro Point at Screen. Like how was that done so seamlessly? Rather sad I noticed that near the end of the movie.
Plan to go back and rewatch JUST to look at those small details like that.
Rise + Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
