I finally cleaned it! My transformation has begun! Also, scheduled a psych appointment and quit caffeine.

It really sucks to associate with getting things done. I used to drink multiple cups every time I had to learn anything. Then one day, I gave up, I figured “why even bother if I am not going to do anything”. Went cold turkey for 10 days before I got a job and then started abusing energy drinks too.

      Hope this will last.

NEGL I sometimes swap Ritalin for Caffeine. One pill in the morning and it feels like I just drank 3 cups but it lasts all day and no stomachache/headache.

Waaaay back in college, during a different Age of the World, Ephedrine was legal and available by mail without a prescription. I strongly doubt I would have completed that double STEM major on caffeine alone, and afik Ritalin hadn’t been invented yet.

EDIT: But yeah, “with getting things done.” I am literally sitting here taking pulls on the coffee as I work (in between sh*tposts). It’s like cigarettes; smokers say they need the cigarette for “something to do with their hands”. Taking that pull becomes part of my thinking process. (When I’m on a health kick it’s icewater instead and ofc I feel 100x better)

Yes, it was like that. Would be angry if I had to drink it early, without doing work while sipping.

It’s mostly the habbit and the idea that you can’t quit that is the issue. It does not help that people offer you coffee everywhere.

You can go ahead and leave that cup alone, and nothing bad will happen (besides withdrawal).

You can just do that once you realize your mind lies.

Best of luck to you! I know ADHD is hard.
