The only logical conclusion I can draw is that there’s a lot of money laundering going on. Otherwise, it is remarkably stupid to open a business in a market that is already overserved.

Seems a bit daft to do your money laundering with a type of business that is renown for money laundering. Seems like they would be very likely to be visited by the authorities.

Because they can sit outside and see how many people go in for a day or two, look at the books and instantly see if they are laundering money. Daily visits: 25, income £10,000 is either a bit of a red flag or a fucking expensive hair cut.

There is no way any police organization will dedicate that much time to that.

You just have to get the work experience kid to count the number of people going in during the day. Divide their income by that number x number of days it’s open in a year and you can instantly tell if it’s laundering money.

Or you can do it like NCIS does.

Take a cell phone camera picture and yell enhance and it will give you a details HD video and do all the counts for you.

Oh you mean we aren’t writing fiction?

Yeah, I guess it’s completely beyond the bounds of possibility to spend a day counting and then divide one number by another. Impossible.
