I’ve arranged for my neighbor to come in during the day to feed her, clean her box, and give her some play time. I have her daily schedule typed up and he’s coming over tomorrow to meet her and so I can walk him through her day. I have cameras set up in places I know she hangs out so I can check in on her. Aside from that, what else can I do or get for her to keep her from getting too bored or lonely?

    What you have already planned sounds great! If you give treats regularly, you could set up an auto feeder (the rotating bin style) with dry treats.

    Your cat may treat you like a war criminal upon your return but she’ll be fine. I wouldn’t leave the ming vase out or the catnip planter but keep in mind most cats do better without their masters than the other way around.

    Each day you/the sitter can split up maybe half the dry food and hide small piles around the house for her to search for and find during the day: in window sills, open wardrobes, under a piece of paper on the living room table… check on the hiding spots and if she missed any select an easier location for the next pile.

    I learned to communicate better with my cats. And tell them i will be away for X sunrise and sunsets. I even tell them i going away bit will come back before the sun sets. It sounds strange but i feel that my cats understands me better when i use the sun as time 😄

      My little idiot attacks the TV whenever I put those on so as much as I wish I could I fear the worst. But I thought about like one of those automatic wand or laser toys. Is there one I can operate remotely?

        I’ve heard laser toys aren’t that good in the long run, since they never get to catch anything which can lead to frustration and poor behaviour or dissatisfaction.

        If you’re playing with a laser toy, sometimes during and particularly towards the end of the session, point it at another toy or a piece of food/a treat so they can successfully grab/kill/eat something.
